The Northern Polar Express is a Pere Marquette 2-4-8 #1225 Steam Locomotive built in December 1941. The train runs from Owosso, Michigan to Ashley, Michigan in November and December. The famous engine was the blue print for the Hollywood Movie "The Polar Express". The current owner is the Steam Railroading Institue in Owosso, Michigan.
