Sequoia National Park was established on September 25, 1890 as America's second National Park. Known as the Giant Forest of Sequoia Trees with trees growing over 300 feet tall, 40 feet in diameter, bark 31 inches thick and over 3200 years old. The park is the home to the Worlds Largest Tree the General Sherman Tree which is estimated to be between 2200-2700 hundred years old.
