40 Mile Point Lighthouse built was in 1896 guiding ships on Lake Huron. Height 52 feet and a range of 16 nautical miles. Located on Hammond Bay near Rodgers City, Michigan. The Lighthouse is located 40 miles from Mackinaw Point, hence giving the name 40 Mile Point Lighthouse.
